Important visitors from the North

On May 10th 2017, the Board of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences in Finland paid a visit to Aschaffenburg. They discussed future challenges for both institutions as well as further possibilities for cooperation with the extended University Board. Aschaffenburg University Council’s Chairman and professors also participated in the meetings. Both the Mayor of the City of Aschaffenburg and the Local District Administrator contributed the local perspective and explained the importance of Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences for the region.

The guests also visited the BioMEMS-Lab and were very impressed by the level of research activities and their embedment into Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences.

Both institutions offer five double degrees in engineering and business. Each year about 20 students from Aschaffenburg spend one or two semesters in Seinäjoki.
