Company representatives and students sounded out possible collaboration opportunities at the Recruiting Brunch

Campus Careers and Recruiting Brunch give students and graduates the opportunity to get to know numerous regional companies.

More than 80 companies from the region were represented at the industry contact fair of Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences (TH Aschaffenburg) on 23 May. Campus Careers was held for the 18th time this year. The university's own careers fair gave some 1,500 students and graduates the opportunity to establish contact with potential future employers in a casual, communicative setting. The companies provided information on internships, final theses and career opportunities after graduation.

2019 was the seventh year in which the fair was organised by the TH Aschaffenburg Career Service in collaboration with the student initiative economics. Responsibility for the event was handed over by the alumni network Akademiker Netzwerk Aschaffenburg e.V in 2013.
Due to ongoing construction work, the trade fair tent was erected on the campus field for the first time again this year instead of the university car park, offering capacity for some 2,000 student visitors. The fair was once again booked up in record time as a result of the enormous interest among companies to be involved as exhibitors. This is mainly due to the high level of demand for staff with engineering expertise. In spite of positive economic developments in Europe, large numbers of Germany companies are still desperately in search of well-qualified employees. They are particular interested in qualified graduates and students from the faculties of economics and engineering. Given the wide range of sectors represented by the companies in attendance, there was once again something of interest for everyone.

Recruiting Brunch – speed dating for careers
The following day, the Recruiting Brunch for students was held for the first time – a first at Aschaffenburg UAS. This event enabled participants to extend their professional network by means of so-called career dating. In a relaxed atmosphere, they were able to find about career openings with interesting employees and establish valuable contacts with HR managers. After a casual get-together at the fingerfood buffet, students and company representatives sat down at tables together to talk. Tables were swapped after 30 minutes, enabling the various companies to successively chat to potentially matching students.
