TH Aschaffenburg cooperates with three European universities in the new English-language Master's programme Mercuri

The Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Katowicach (Poland) and the Université Grenoble Alpes (France) will launch a new European Master's programme with a double degree in the winter semester, in which Technische Hochschule Aschaffenburg and the Universidad Cardenal Herrera (Spain) are involved as partners. The four-semester English-language degree programme Mercuri - Customer Relationship Marketing focuses on the relationship between customers and companies and provides in-depth practical knowledge in European economics, management, marketing, consumer law, customer psychology, behaviour and research at four university locations. Modules for learning the four languages of the university locations involved in the programme (Polish, French, Spanish and German) are an integral part of the programme. Students also acquire soft skills in communication, intercultural management and leadership.

The new Master's programme is to be launched in Katowice as a Polish-French double-degree programme as early as the coming winter semester 2020/21. TH Aschaffenburg as a consortium partner will host the third semester and use synergy effects of the English-language Master's programme in International Management in the Faculty of Economics and Law. The university partner in Valencia will host the fourth and final semester of studies. In the medium term an integrated joint degree programme and degree is planned by all partners.

Interested students should apply to the coordinating university in Katowice for the international English-language degree course with an integrated double degree (MA) from both universities in Katowice and Grenoble. 1,000 euros per semester are required as programme-related fees in Katowice for the international Mercuri programme. Further information is available on the website about the new course: https://www.mastermercuri.eu/

The partnership within the framework of the European Master's programme Mercuri came about through the participation of TH Aschaffenburg in the EU project PROMINENCE (Promoting Mindful Encounters Through Intercultural Competence and Experience), which will run until the end of the year. In 2019 TH Aschaffenburg successfully carried out a so-called Erasmus+ Intensive Programme on "Managing and Leading in different Cultures" for one week with more than 40 students and 10 guest lecturers from six European partner universities.

For TH Aschaffenburg, Prof. Dr. Alexandra Angress is the contact person responsible for developing and implementing the new Master's programme. Now that all partners have signed the Mercuri framework agreement, the implementation agreements are in the final review and coordination phase.
