TH ASCHAFFENBURG ACHIEVES TOP RESULT IN THE CHE-RANKING

Students give top marks for courses of study in economics in the CHE University Ranking 2020/2021 


In the fields of business administration and business law, the TH Aschaffenburg is one of the best universities for applied sciences in the German-speaking world. The technical university is also represented in the top group in the subject of industrial engineering. This has been confirmed by the results of the current university ranking of the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE), in which around 120,000 students in Germany and Austria assessed their study conditions.

TH Aschaffenburg excels in the subject business administration and commercial law with very good ratings. The students are particularly satisfied with their general study situation. In the field of business law, the Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences even holds the top position with a 1.3 grade in comparison to other universities of applied sciences, universities of applied sciences and universities. The students in Aschaffenburg feel well looked after by their tutors. TH AB also ranks in the top group with regard to how the courses are organised, how accessible they are and how well they are coordinated. It also scored very well in terms of career orientation and support for studying abroad. The support provided at the beginning of the studies as well as the practical relevance of the courses held in Aschaffenburg were judged to be very good.

The subject of industrial engineering, which was also ranked, secured a place in the top group in several categories as well. The students expressed their great satisfaction with the general study situation by awarding a 1.7 grade. The contact to professional practice, the international orientation and the support provided during the introductory course phase were rated as being very good.

TH President Prof. Dr. Eva-Maria Beck-Meuth is particularly pleased that the Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences has once again done so well in the CHE ranking: "The excellent result shows that we as a university have succeeded in continuously creating conditions over many years in which our students can study successfully and are prepared in the best possible way for entering into professional life.”

The subjects of electrical engineering, information technology and mechatronics have held top positions in the ranking for many years. A revaluation will not be carried out again here until 2022.

This year, the CHE University Ranking examined the subjects of business administration, economics, business sciences, business informatics, industrial engineering, business law, social work, law and business psychology. At TH Aschaffenburg, the courses of study in business administration, business administration for SMEs and international real estate management were evaluated in the "Business Administration” category. In the area of "Industrial Engineering and Management", the study courses industrial engineering and management, international technical sales, and renewable energies and energy management were examined more closely. 

The CHE university ranking evaluates both student assessments and key figures on teaching and research.
