Three of the winners of the MAT Awards 2021 come from TH Aschaffenburg

With the MAT Award, which was presented for the first time this year, Marvin Greim (Master's student Real Estate Management), Philipp Luckas (Bachelor's student International Real Estate Management and board member of the student initiative "Students meet Real Estate e.V.") and Christoph Schmidt (graduate Master's student Real Estate Management and founder of the start-up DocEstate) were also chosen from a total of 30 winners as the most promising and up-and-coming talents in the real estate industry.

"We are very proud of our young talents who show how you can get the real estate industry moving with a lot of initiative and courage, especially as a young professional. This is exactly what we try to exemplify in our real estate degree programmes," says Prof. Dr Verena Rock, who heads the "Digital Real Estate Management" degree programme at TH Aschaffenburg.

Together with the jury, all applicants and interested parties, the "Förderverein der Deutschen Immobilienwirtschaft e. V.” (Association for Promoting the German Real Estate Business). has now awarded the 30 best at a digital award ceremony. The association aims to give young talents a strong, collective voice to promote innovation, exchange and progress in the industry.

The award is backed by renowned partner companies in the real estate industry and a top-class jury of seven: Susanne Eickermann-Riepe, Chairwoman of the Board of RICS Germany; Sandra Scholz, Member of the Board of Commerz Real; Larissa Lapschies, Managing Director of the ADI Academy of the Real Estate Industry and founder of the young talent network Immobilienjunioren; Thomas Beyerle, Managing Director of Catella Property Valuation; Alexander Ubach-Utermöhl, Managing Director of blackprint Booster: Andreas Schulten, General Representative bulwiengesa, and Thomas Porten, publisher of Immobilien Zeitung (IZ).

"There are many awards where people are honoured for their life's work or for putting together a great project. We are putting the focus on young professionals from the second row who will determine what happens in the industry," explains Frederik Walbaum. Along with Dominik Talhof and Michael Urmann, he is one of the initiators who want to create a network of "Most Aspiring Talents" (MAT) in the real estate industry with the award.
