TH student spends a semester as DAAD ambassador in Georgia

Malin Höfler, a student of Business Administration and Law, is currently spending her 6th semester at the Caucasus University in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Caucasus University is one of almost 100 partner universities of TH Aschaffenburg in over 40 countries. Following initial lectures in virtual format due to the corona pandemic, Malin can now attend them in person from the end of the semester.

Malin receives the HAW.International scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for her semester abroad. This funding programme is aimed specifically at students at technical colleges and universities of applied sciences who are undertaking a stay abroad as part of their studies. In addition to a subsidy for living expenses, scholarship holders also receive a travel allowance.
More detailed information on the scope of the scholarship and on how to apply can be found on the website of the DAAD and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

As part of the DAAD campaign „studying worldwide“, Malin keeps a blog about her semester abroad, in which she reports on living and studying in Georgia and shares her exciting experiences.

The International Office (IO) of TH Aschaffenburg also supports the DAAD campaign and is committed to motivating students to spend time abroad. Everything you need to know about studying and doing an internship abroad, about the partner universities of TH AB and funding opportunities is available at the annual International Day, which the IO team has planned this year for 10 November 2021.
