The future of German industry lies in the export of high technology products, plants, and systems. First-class engineers with technological expertise, proficiency in problem solving, and excellent interdisciplinary skills are highly sought after around the world. The Faculty of Engineering in cooperation with the Würzburg-Schweinfurt and Coburg Universities of Applied Sciences have come together to offer a research-oriented master’s programme leading to the degree of Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. The programme involves working collaboratively in a hands-on research project as well as attending advanced lectures and receiving individual supervision.

Programme contents
The main focus of the programme may vary considerably depending on the orientation of the project topic and on the compulsory subjects taught. Master’s projects can be conducted at any of the participating universities and/or faculties involved. The programme is equally suitable for students who hold an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and information technology, mechatronics, renewable energies and energy management, or industrial engineering.

Our partners in this programme include world-leading companies, universities, the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (AiF), the Bavarian Research Institute, the Bavarian High-Tech Offensive, the Fraunhofer Society, and the Würzburg Research Association for Functional Materials. The result is highly interesting research topics in collaboration with technologically leading companies covering the whole spectrum of expertise in electrotechnology, information technology, and mechatronics.
