Language of instruction: English

Our English-taught Master International Management is a 90-ECTS full-time programme (3 semesters) that primarily addresses graduates with a Bachelor's degree in business or economic related studies. The three-semester programme seeks to enhance international business knowledge, competence and skills about global business processes while at the same time boosting interpersonal and leadership skills in a global setting. With lecturers and practitioners from Germany and abroad the Master of Arts (M.A.) provides students with an internationally oriented learning context that is suitable to address the learning outcomes of the programme.

With the online application (printed and signed) please submit:
*Proof of English language proficiency - niveau C1, because the primary language of instruction is English.
*Proof of German language  German language proficiency - niveau B1, Because the primary language of administration is German

Programme structure

The basic principles and specialist knowledge of the Master´s degree programme in International Management are taught in 18 modules (eight of which are compulsory and the rest elective subjects) and at the end a Master thesis/dissertation. All the modules have been designed to ensure that students will gain and apply the necessary knowledge and competences in international management, cross-border trade and investment as well as international/European law and as well as international competences and communication skills to help them build a suitable management profile with a global outlook.

The Universities of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg, Seinäjoki, Finland and the University of Missouri, St. Louis, USA, also offer joint intensive periods (“electives“) joining forces to contribute their respective strengths in the teaching of the programme. Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences is fostering cooperation relations with other universities and business partners abroad and students are strongly encouraged to spend their second semester abroad.

As a result, students can benefit from a course of study that is relevant, forward-looking and suited to the needs of today´s global market.

Language requirements

English language skills on level C1 (CEFR); applicants must submit a standardised certificate such as:

- IELTS, total score 7,0 or better
- TOEFL-IBT, total score 95 or better
- Cambridge English Business Higher (BEC) and Cambridge English Advanced (CEA), Grade A, B or C
- TOEIC, total score 945 or better- Unicert III or better
- DAAD-Test (certificate, version before 09/2015) all sections marked as b) or better
- DAAD-Test (certificate, version from 09/2015 on), all sections marked as C1 = five stars valued
- Cambridge oder Oxford Placement Test marked as C1
- Pearson PTE Academic, 70 points or better and a minimum of 67 points in all sections

A first degree in an English-taught study programme may also be accepted as proof of English language skills.

For international students, certification of German skills on level B1 is required; applicants must submit a standardised certificate such as:

- TestDaF (Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache, “Test of German as a Foreign Language), level 3 (TDN 3) or better
- DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang), level 1 (DSH-1) or better
- Goethe Certificate B1 or better
- telc Certificate B1 or better

The certified copies of the above language certificates have to be submitted for enrolment (cut-off deadline for summer term: 14 March, for winter term: 30. September).

After determining their equivalence, other language certificates may be accepted.
