As an international student, you need a visa and proof of sufficient funds. The visa process can take several months, so we recommend applying for a visa in good time. You can usually make an appointment to apply for a visa before you receive your admission letter. But you will definitely need your admission letter at the appointment. Breakdown of typical expenses
In Germany, the Studierendenwerk maintains a range of services such as the cafeteria, the halls of residence, or counselling services. According to the Bavarian Higher Education Act, all students (including Erasmus+ and exchange students) are to pay a small service fee for the administration of these services. This fee is called Studierendenwerksbeitrag – semester fee.
Paying the semester fee is mandatory for enrolment at Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences. Currently, the semester fee amounts to 70 EUR.

DAAD Prize
