Master`s degree programme MERCURI: Graduation and Networking

Graduation Ceremony of Master degree programme MERCURI II

Universidad Cardenal Herrera CEU, Valencia hosted MERCURI II Graduation Ceremony accompanied by a networking seminar for new MERCURI cohorts.

On 8 March 2024, MECURI II, the second cohort of the unique transnational Master’s programme MERCURI graduated in a formal graduation ceremony at the Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera in Valencia, Spain. The consortium partners of the University of Economics, in Kattowice, IAE Grenoble, Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences and CEU, Cardenal Herrera Valencia attended the event.

The 16 graduates of the second cohort of this unique, international European Master in Customer Relationship Marketing (MERCURI) degree programme had successfully studied a semester at all four partner universities and graduated with multiple degrees on MA level (MA double degree, diploma).

The graduation ceremony was also embedded in a three-day workshop from 6 to 8 March during a seminar held at the University of Cardenal Herrera CEU, Valencia coordinated by Dr Paco Suay. The aim of the encounter was to foster team building and networking between the different MERCURI cohorts and comprised a cultural challenge guiding them through the old part of town of Valencia, working as team in Lego® Serious Play® and preparing paella in cross-cultural teams in @foodandfun cooking studio down town Valencia after a visit to the local market Mercado Central.

At the graduation ceremony Vice President Prof. Dr. Slawomir Smyczek of the coordinating university of the MERCURI consortium, the University of Economics in Kattowice, addressed the graduates with the following words, “We would like to congratulate all this year’s graduates of the MERCURI programme on completing a unique European master's degree programme, which not only provided you as graduates now with thorough marketing knowledge, but also prepared you to quickly adapt to the changing environment, to dynamically respond to new challenges and to function effectively in a multicultural environment. As your professors and MERCURI consortium, we wish you both a wonderful professional career and success in your personal life. We wish you not to be afraid of your dreams and pursue them with all your courage. May you also be great ambassadors of our MERCURI programme.”

And the successful European MECURI journey continues: After two successful round and successfully graduated cohorts TH Aschaffenburg will be the next degree awarding partner (MA degree) in this consortium as of 2024/25. And the European university consortium will be enriched by a new partner – the university of Bergamo will join as a new partner in this consortium as of 2025/26.
