Doctorate at Aschaffenburg UAS

Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences offers students a continuous academic career path from a Bachelor's degree to a Master's and up to a PhD. At Aschaffenburg UAS, we provide doctoral candidates the opportunity to pursue a PhD through our Doctoral Centre for Sustainable and Intelligent Systems (NISys) as well as through cooperative doctoral programs in collaboration with another qualified university. PhD students at Aschaffenburg UAS benefit from optimal conditions to work on challenging scientific issues while gaining first-class practical knowledge through a strong focus on application.

Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences PhD students also benefit from our close collaboration with a wide variety of regional industries and businesses. In addition to the strong practical relevance of thier research, they have the oppertunity to build personal networks.

Doctoral college iDok

The doctoral college iDok offers comprehensive support to doctoral students at Aschaffenburg UAS during their cooperative doctorate. Starting with support during the initiation of the doctoral project, the iDok team accompanies the doctoral candidates until the publication of the dissertation through a first-class mentoring program

The cooperative doctorate

Doctoral studies at Aschaffenburg UAS are possible in cooperation with selected German or international universities. Supervisors from the partner university and Aschaffenburg UAS jointly accompany the doctoral students. In this way, they enrich the doctoral project through complementary expertise.

We warmly welcome international doctoral candidates. First-class research conditions, the familiar atmosphere on campus and close personal supervision by an experienced scientist allow international doctoral candidates to get most out of their PhD programme at Aschaffenburg UAS.
