As part of the approved project “Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope with Light Sheet Module”, the DFG is funding the acquisition of a high-resolution microscope within this framework.

Background

Objective

The high-resolution microscope is intended to further strengthen knowledge-oriented research in the field of neuroscience.

Methods

This high-resolution microscope will enable the scientists in the BioMEMS working group to be able to decipher the causes of neuronal diseases and neurotoxicological effects. In this way, important foundations for new therapeutic procedures will be created.
