Funding

The project is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs through the “kommunal? digital!“ programme.

Objective

Together with the city of Aschaffenburg, dima (digital manufactury) wants to create a platform that will filter, combine and evaluate ideas of citizens with the help of artificial intelligence. Because the best ideas for a city have always come from the people who live there. This is where dima comes in and wants to support committed locals in developing their project ideas further and winning over interested partners for targeted implementation.

Methods

We would like to support the citizens in transforming initial ideas for improving their city into concrete project sketches through design thinking methods. On the website of the digital manufactory, they should gain insight with just a few clicks into whether other fellow citizens or perhaps also companies are already working on this topic or could support it. This makes it easier to network interested parties.

The “database” in the background of the dima website is based on artificial intelligence mechanisms. In the first test phase, a prototype of dima with the use case “traffic and mobility” will be created by the beginning of 2024.

The digital shop in downtown Aschaffenburg serves as an analogue contact point and helps to get new projects off the ground.
