Background

Objective

The project uses artificial intelligence to model the epidemiological dynamics and the effects of healthy policy interventions, taking into account local social interaction patterns in the city region of Aschaffenburg. The research of the two professors Dr. Holger von Jouanne-Diedrich and Dr. Michael Möckel focuses on the evaluation of measures for the implementations of health policy goals, such as in the context of a lockdown, with the help of artificial intelligence. The aim of the project is to adapt the epidemic simulator “Covasim” to the specific requirements of the Aschaffenburg region and thus to be able to better assess measures in the course of containing the pandemic.
